I have come across this topic on several different occasions when talking to women that are bi-sexual. They say that a guy is either straight or they are gay, they can not be Bi-Sexual. What is the deal with that. I love being with men and women, I consider myself to be bi-sexual so how do you respond to people that say they are bi-sexual bringing you down like that, they treat you as if you are a freak of nature when you are just like them??

well where i live (australia) it doesnt work like that. if girls are bisexual then they get labelled as a lesbian. same as if guys are bi they are automatically gay. its coz people are ignorant and love to label people

I've often wondered about that myself, both gays and straights reject bi-sexuality claiming we are either straights sucking up to gays or gays afraid to come all the way out of the closet. I've had everything from casual sex to long term monogamous relationships with both men and women. For the right person I could happily settle down and forsake all others, but gender wouldn't be factor in whether or not the person was right.

I've often wondered this myself. A woman can be bisexual but a man must be categorized as gay or straight. I hate when people have to label things as either black or white when it comes to something as complex as human sexuality. I think the Kinsey scale is quite valid whether applied to men or women. Society will not allow people to be open and honest about their sexuality.

Because people like to stereotype. Don't pay attention to other people. I sometimes get the same flak from people who tell me I'm not really a lesbian, because I just came out of the closet.
Go figure.

I believe that men can be bisexual. Who said they can't? I think this is some crap that straight people came up with.

Welcome to the wonderful world of stereotypes.
You are Bi. Homophobic guys see any male-male sexual contact as homosexual regardless as to whether you also go out with women or not.

Pure ignorance, plain and simple. Don't you know that women can be fluid, but men are hiding and deceptive...

I know better, honey.

Women get to have the double standard on that one. Guys get to be promiscuous without being called a whore or slut.
