Had a blood pregnancy test done today. It came out negative, but was just wondering, can they be wrong?

Depends if you had a QUALITIVE test then yes. If they required your HCG to be 125 and it was 124 then that would have been negitive. If it was QUANTITIVE (the acutal count) then no. If you have less than 5 HCG in your blood you are not preggo.

How far along should you be by now? It could be wrong, but it depends of if you ovulated at a weird time...here's my story....
Had a period April 5th. Got a severe sinus infection and needed a cat scan of my nose. OB said "go get a blood test to see if you're prego first--don't want a cat scan if you are". May 5th...went to get a blood test...Negative. Got the Cat scan. Period never came. Wasn't worried about it cuz i was so sick...we hardly ever had sex that month. Then on May 22 i got a very faint positive on a urine test at home. I miscarried a week and a half later. Nothing to do with the cat scan...just ovulated at a very odd time and the egg was a blighted ovum (sperm and egg meet, but due to egg problems...doesn't grow)
So, it very much could be wrong and too soon to tell. If you are pretty regular i would say you aren't prego, but if you are like me and have wacky, long cycles...you very well could be.

The blood test are very, very accurate & can detect the pregnancy hormone alot better than a hpt. If the test came out negative, then you are not pregnant.

blood tests are usually never wrong. i had one recently was negative and i got my periods a week later.
Only if the HCG count is low, there are very fews chances that a negative blood test is wrong.
You should be able to get your period soon.

A blood pregnancy test detects a certain hormone. Yes, it could be wrong.

its not normally neg. unless you concieved like two days ago. A blood test can tell within 3-5 days. Just keep trying if you are, and if not then glad it worked out for you. Hope everything works out for you.

well urine test can be wrong. but blood test are what they take when urine test are unconclusive. so no they are not wrong. the only way for u to get pregnant is to relax and forget about it. if u keep stressing the issue u maynot concive for a while. but if ur not trying to get pregnant count this as a blessing and move on.

well i went to get tested cause i missed two months. i was pregnant and they did every test possible. they found out i was three months along.
