SIlver Surfer.
The Power Cosmic is something that Superman cannot go up against. Their strength and durability are both off the charts, and their speed is about the same too.
If SIlver Surfer was without the power cosmic, I would give this fight to Superman. But, with the Power Cosmic, Silver Surfer can basically do whatever he felt like doing. SUperman wouldn't know what hit him....

I would say that Superman would win in a fight, not the Silver Surfer.

Sorry but the power levels between DC and Marvel are way out of wack. Superman is without a doubt the more powerful of the two. Silver Surfer is tough by Marvel standards but Superman is tough on a totally different and higher standard. I would think superman would have a harder time with someone like Thanos or Galactus.

If it was the old, infinitely powerful pre-Crisis Superman, he'd win. Otherwise, no. SS has more raw power and could probably set up a force field to screen Superman from yellow solar rays and project Kryptonite radiation frequencies at him, so he'd win.
BTW, I must disagree with tonyandtyerri-- Nexus' power is derived from the stars. He is able to channel solar plasma, but if he channels yellow solar plasma at Superman he just makes him more powerful. Maybe the Merk might step in; I don't know if he would condescend to do that. Come to think of it, why hasn't Nexus hunted down any of the survivors of Black Zero, the terrorist organization that caused the instability in Krypton's core that eventually cause the planet to explode...? Favoritism on the part of the Merk...?

Silver Surfer would just have to get Supes away from air for long enough. But Supes is faster and stronger. Silver Surfer would be impervious to Supes' heat vision and cold breath, and he could zap Supes with the power cosmic.
Who would win? It's obvious. It would be a tie, so readers would be compelled to read the sequel story.
It doesn't matter anyway. Nexus would kick both their butts!
