LS1 5.3 liter, 303 horses and its FWD?!
It was bad enough that the 2000-05 were FWD!

The intent for FWD is fuel economy, it is easier to pull than to push reducing load.

But I do agree I would still rather see the RWD I'm just old school I guess.

As for you sissy's that wine about the snow, you just can't drive in the snow and need all the help you can get. All I've ever owned were RWD's and they do just fine...oh and the front drives are no more stable in the snow they just accelerate easier.

And yes I drive FWD's I said all I've ever owned was RWD's.

Thanks be to GM for officially announcing the return of the Camaro, cause frankly them Goats is homely.

Ever drive that magnificent power to the rear in the snow? It's impossible and that is the exact reason the monte carlos are FWD. My mom had an 86 monte carlo with RWD when it was new and it was absolutely horrible in the snow. I see your point though. Unfortunately some of us have to navigate some ridiculous snow storms.

I asked the same question about why on earth GM would name that crappy *ss car the Malibu. I would never buy a monte carlo again anyways. I had one that was in the junk yard before it was paid off 2 engines and a tranny. Got a better car across the street at Ford-cheaper, lasts longer. You can say what you want, but I used to drive GM. Never again-especially with thier new line of cars.

They should make it AWD and bring it into the 21st century. But this is a dinosaur car.
