I installed a Pioneer DVD-burner into my PC, but the PC won't find the drive. I understand, I need a driver, right? But I did not get any cds with the burner. Where can I find the driver, and which one I need? Or is there another way to make my computer recognize the burner? Thanks a lot for your help.

Just about guarantee it is a jumper issue. Two devices can go on any one data cable, but one must be jumpered as a master and the other must be jumpered as a slave. In your case power down the system and check the back of the DVD drive. Look at where the jumpers are. You will see that it has MA SL and CS. If it is on MS change it to SL and try again.

The computer should still see it as a DVD player without drivers loaded for it.

I'd go with teef_au's suggestion. I've done it before, and that turned out to be the solution. Besides that, you shouldn't have to load any drivers for it anyway, windows will recognize it once installed correctly.
