He called me a liar when I wasn't lying, and now he knows that I wasn't lying, will he apologise? If he does should I forgive him? It was a pretty big thing that I was supposed to have lied about...

Only you can make that decision. You are the one that knows him. If you have any doubts at all , then i suggest you call it a day and move on. If you get into a habit of continually forgiving he will never learn, and his apologies will mean nothing. He will think he can get away with it all the time. That wont do your future life together any favours

If he doesn't apologise he's not worth the knowing! You don't say what the big thing is but if he had any really good reasons for believing that you lied ( ie info from someone he trusts), you have to give him the benefit of the doubt. However if it was totally unfounded you need to decide whether you love him, whether you can get passed the fact that he accused you of lying and whether in the same situation you would have reacted the same. If you love him than it's got to be worth giving him another try. Talk it through with him. Find out why he was so sure he was right. Maybe he has underlying issues that he's never told you before. If you talk it through you may find that you make the relationship stronger. however make sure he does apologise and that everything he says is justified or explained. any resentment left from this could eventually poison your relationship no matter how much you want it to work!

Do you love him? Look into your heart and see if you can believe that next time he wont do this again and acusse you of something you didnt even do. If he cares for you and if you mean anything to him he will apologise, right now hes most likely imbarrased that he was wrong about you, and is trying to find the words to tell you that hes sorry. A guy or girl should never acusse another unless they know for sure. But everyone makes misstakes and people deserve a second chance. No if he doesnt apologise than i wouldnt work it out with him, forget him he obvioulsy doesnt have as much feelings for you as he thought. And he will more than likely do it again if you got back running to him , than it shows that it wasnt that big of a deal to you. So stand your ground. If he does apologise and you give him another chance make sure he knows this is it , one more time of doing this and theres no forgiveing!

Be very careful. That is, unless you like to be accused of lying because the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. Any one who accuses another of lying without reason is not to be trusted because his emotions are ruling his brain.

an apology is just a word it's meant to make everything better...showing you he is sorry is another thing, i think he owes you BIG time...make him stew in his juice....
