Why is it that the American symbol is a bald eagle and yet in British Columbia (Canada) they have more bald eagles than all of America?

Funny coincidence...I just saw one fly in front of my car yesterday while driving through Pennsylvania. It was the first time I ever saw one in the wild. It was massive!

Just be glad they didn't take Ben Franklin's idea and make the turkey the national bird!

Ben Franklin wanted it to be the turkey. How ever the rest of congress wanted a more powerful symbol. The turkey is native American bird, the eagle is found in several countries.

The American Bald eagle, is a symbol of power, freedom & strength. It's also a predatory bird, which makes it dangerous when provoked. So Illegals watch out., We are about to take flight & feed, our talons at the ready.

An eagle is a symbol of freedom. It doesn't matter how many there are, just that they are free, like us.
