How can you possibly 'accidentally' install a hard drive?!!
Unless, you're talking about a VIRTUAL drive. Were you using a program which creates virtual drives, like the kind that makes a hard drive folder act like a virtual CDROM drive?
If so, check your program's help files.
You can try uninstalling or at least disabling a virtual drive in Device Manager.
Right click the My Computer icon on the desktop and select Properties. Click the hardware tab and click the Device Manager button. Click the View menu and select Show Hidden Devices. Then scroll the screen down and look under Storage Devices or Non-Plug & Play Drivers.
Or are you talking about a hard drive partition that you created?

Lets assume you have one hard, and then you added a second hard drive to have more storage space; your original drive was probably C: drive, and your computer designated a letter for the new drive(like D: or E:). Click on My Computer, click on the new drive letter, like you're trying to Open it, and click Format. Please make sure its the new drive you are formatting, and not your old drive, or your computer will crash and burn faster than a Tom Cruise movie.....
After it formats itself, you should be able to store files or put games or porn or whatever you want on it.
If it turns out you have accidentally partitioned your main drive, then leave it be; you can still use the new drive any way you wish, there won't be any real loss of space, and un-partitioning can be scary and dangerous if you're not sure how to do it. Good Luck.

If you added a second disk drive, that means one of two things.
Either you have tow physical hard drives inside the machine, in which case you can only get rid of the second drive by physically taking it out of the PC.
Or you created two partitions on one physical drive (which is what I suspect you did. You can only get rid of that second partition by reformating the entire hard drive - both of them - and during the format have it only create one drive.
Or you can purchase a program like Partition Magic which will allow you to merge the two partitions without losing data off the first partition. (It will wipe the second partition)
My recommendation is to use the first partition for installing the programs and the second for storing data. Down the free Tweakui utility from Microsoft and use it to move your My Documents folder to the second partition. Then store your data there.
But there is no easy way to remove a second partition without either wiping data or spending money.

how did u "accidentally" install a hard drive. did u open up the computer and install jumpers and wires? if not i think u just noticed a hard drive thats been sitting there. A extra hard drive is good. Why delete? If u store images and music and/or games, youre gonna need the space.

You probably never installed it, so there is nothing to delete. Go on My Computer and check if it has been installed, if so, you need to uninstall it. I don't believe you can just delete it.

Wait... how can you just 'add' a hard drive? Is that even possible?
seriously, I don't think it is.
And if you did, unplug the hard drive that is showing up! You can't just delete it.
Please, seek computer help.
