The Republicans are not blind, neither are the Democrats. They know exactly what is going on in the world. The problem is that BOTH parties only deal with the issues they think will win them the most votes in the next election.
Here is the lay of the political landscape in this country today. It is ALL about retaining power. It is NOT about actually doing what is best for the country and its citizens. The Democrats throw a supposed problem (sometimes real, sometimes inflated out of proportion) that the Republicans aren't "doing enough about" and propose a "solution" that they know will NEVER be put in effect or is even feasible. The Republicans come back with their own "solution" that is just as unfeasible and ineffective. But both "solutions" will sound good to the average voter in their respective supporter base. And when the "solutions" are rejected by the process in Congress, they will both use that as a weapon in their next re-election campaign. Both parties do this, so I am not saying that the Democrats are the only ones that throw the "problem" up into the mix.
So the problems keep getting worse and no real solutions are enacted. But they get re-elected over and over.
There are more voices out there than Democrat or Republican, Left or Right, Liberal or Conservative. But the 2 dominant parties have structured the election process in their favor and all the dissenting voices never have a chance to be heard. The media never give them any time because the 2 dominant parties have huge marketing machines at work to make sure that the main attention is always focused on them and no one else.
So take the time to become a better informed voter. Get all the viewpoints and opinions, whether it be from the Libertarian Party (the 3rd largest political party in the country) or the Green Party or the Constitution Party, or any of the 50-odd other active political parties in this country that are never heard of because the Dems and GOP have the media and the electoral process stacked in their favor.
Don't just swallow the party line, use your brain and think for yourself and find the party that best represents your beliefs and opinions.

Don't think for a minute that they are. All world events are being secretly controlled by the elite, ruling Illuminati. Their goals: world war 3, and a New World Order fascist police state dictatorship. They have to move very cautiously though, so as not to stir up too much suspicion among the people.

They choose not to see. The only thing they are concerned about is what affects thier pocketbook. They don't really care about abortion, otherwise they would have overturned it already. They certainly don't care about gays, look at the Log Cabin Republicans(see Brokeback Mountain). Those are only election time issues. All they care about is padding thier portfolios with large corporations like big oil, and defense contractors. When America finally realizes that is when we will truly regain the greatness that our country once was.
Maegan G Conservatives by definition are closed-minded, afraid of change. This is just another example how conservatives have brainwashed people into believing anything they say. Here is an excellent example.(note the reaction of the righties to this question) You say one of the problems with the democrats is that we can't agree? I can see all of your heads nodding yes in unisen. Well, sometimes we don't agree because we are free thinkers. We aren't cattle being manipulated and controlled by one all powerful idea. We make judgements for ourself. For example, this may upset some of my Liberal friends, but let me finish. I am totally against abortion! Except in the instance of rape or incest. I cannot stand birth control abortions. Now, let me say this. I also don't believe the government should be making that choice for anyone. The only one that I should be able to hold to my conviction is my wife and children.
Hey Joe read up there was a guy by the name of Henry Cisneros he would be a minority, and he was the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. You may not have known that because as Demos we don't have to string up our minorities for the world to see that we aren't racist. Colin Powell finally realized that, Condy's just to power hungry.

They choose not to see. They are blinded by a combination of power and religion.
Yes Joe, there were minorities in Clinton's cabinet. Though I have no idea what that has to do with the question being asked. I guess you just wanted to change the subject.

Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
There are differences in the philosophy and implementation of policy. There is an opportunity to change every election day. Your side lost. Get over it.

Most of them are sheep. The ones who are not are usually really rich and run their policies to put more money in their pockets. The ones who are super rich are buddies with the global elite and they help to shove this world into wars so that they can profit even more.

Just exactly what is it that you are raving about? What makes you think that the Republicans are blind to the whatevers while I presume you feel that the Democrats are all-seeing folks.
Come-on YO, tell us what your problem is. We'd like to help you but you don't want to expose yourself so we can see.
If it will make you feel better I will agree with you.
And if you think I am just letting you on, then I'll disagree with you.
But, as I said a while back,.. what's your problem?

The Republicans understand all too well what is going on in the world. The Islamofacists want us to kneel before them, renounce our own religious beliefs and convert to Islam. If we refuse they want to start cutting off heads. Republicans understand this and are willing to fight.
On the other hand, from my perspective the Democrats want to act like a little puppy that rolls over on its back and pees on itself.
