Has anyone used store brand contact solution? If so what brand? Is it just as good as name brand solutions? for 10 yrs I used RENU. then i stopped wearing contacts for 5 yrs. now that i'm back to wearing contacts again i'm a little scared to go back to RENU since that issue they had a while ago. my drs office uses AMO COMPLETE moisture plus. we all know drs have a deal with companies, so i would like other options. Thanx

Wal-Mart's equate brand--at about $3.00 a bottle- is what I've used for years. Go for it!!
What's more important is cleanliness of hands, case, and keeping the bottle capped to maintain sterility.

I do not know of store brand but I know for sure do NOT use RENU! I stopped using it because my eyes wear pussing up. Anytime I wore my contacts I would have puss in the corners of my eyes. Once I stopped using RENU the puss stopped! I just seached the internet and found this... do NOT use RENU. Check this out also... this is another reason why I stopped using it.

I have tried store brands and I have not been as pleased with them as the brand name. I have severe allergies and I found one brand that I can use, Boston. Some of the others I tried made my eyes itch like mad,and the cleaner didn't seem to get them as clean. My suggestion is to talk to your eye docator, see what he recommends. You might also ask friend and family and see if they have a favorite brand.

I have also used the Wal Mart brand for some time.....no problem !

Have you ever though about Lasix surgery? I had it done and I love it.
