1. I would have accepted the Taliban's offer on Sept 18 & 19, 2001 (1 week after 911) to hand over B.Laden to a nuetral country for a fair trial. This may have even prevented us going into Afghanistan but that would have depended on talks with the Taliban after they handed over Laden.

2. I would have listen to the UN when the UN requested we give Iraqi inspectors 6 more months. This way if Iraq didn't comply withthe inspectors after 6 months, we would have had complete international support for an invasion.. resulting in a lot less loss of life and less cost.

First, I would have gone full-bore in Afghanistan, not Iraq. Iraq was not the "imminent threat" that bin Laden is. I would have kept high troop levels in Afghanistan until bin Laden was killed or captured, and not turned the mission over to local warlords.

Secondly, I would sever diplomatic ties with countries like Pakistan who are now harboring Al Queda.

Lastly, I would have sought a UN force in Iraq, not a coalition of the complacent.

The problem with Iraq now is that we broke it so we need to fix it. If a UN force had broken it, it would have been their problem. Instead, it is ours to the tune of $316 billion.

Afghanistan, yes!! I would've thrown even more troops in there than we did!
Iraq is a different story. I'd like to think I would've never gone into that quagmire! Then we wouldn't even have this discussion of wether or not to pull out.

1. I would have attacked the right flippin country
2. I would have let the IAEA finish thier inspections - instead of giving them a count down that made war seem like a fricken game show
3. I would have asked other counrties to help, presented them with a congruent plan and returns (not insulted the entire UN General Assembly with crass and taunts)
4. I would have put up a president candidate in the primary that could add, subtract, and create complete sentences - muchless one that didn't have 5 failed buisnesses on thier resume
5. learn how to spell, you must be George W. Bush (*we all know he gets his insight from his right wing collegues on yahoo.answers.)

im not left but i am against the president - so i guess that qualifies me.

first, you have to look at the administration, as well as the ones before, and focus on what got us here. the fact of the matter is, everything is about self and party gratification. not you or i. libs, cons, reps, dems, doesn't matter. so what would i do differently? not sure the congress would allow me to do much as i'm not whoring myself to special interest groups - but chances are, my greed for oil would be non existent. i wouldn't NEED to distract the world from what matters by screwing interns. i wouldn't openly mention the creation, the my intent thereof, of a New World Order (thousand points of light speech).

So, I would have done everything differently. There has to be sacrifices, differing views will never see fully eye to eye, but the two party system has us all looking different directions.

The Afghans were harboring Bin Laden, yes, I would have gone to war. I would have devoted my troops to rooting out Osama and bringing him to justice dead or alive.

Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11, even dubya has conceded that. I would not have gone in. I would have let the weapons inspectors do their jobs.

I would of dealt with the Afgan terrorists.....the ones that attacked or great nation.

Instead we went to Iraq, a nation that was no threat to us.

Saddam is gone, and the terrorists are still out there. Weird.
