Get rid of reality tv, and let people go on with their own realities. Those who live vicariously through the lives of others....its' too bad, really.

There is nothing wrong with T.V if it is used responsibly. The problem is that most people are too lazy to be good parents. Our children need to learn that they have to earn whatever they get out of life, that nobody owes them anything. Kids are not taught manners or responsibility anymore. You hear teenage kids now days in public areas using filthy language even when there are young children around. If you say something to them they just get angry and say, " I'm grown and nobody tells me how to talk". Being grown does not make you mature and that's what people respect, maturity, not someone with a foul mouth. T.V. is not the problem. It's bad or no parenting!

TV probably is the opiate of the masses. I know my colleagues can't stand missing their programs, and talk about them at the lunch table all the time.
I don't have a TV and like to relax by reading a book or by gardening or playing my piano. There are so many other things to do when you walk away from the telly!
I suppose the best way to stop watching is to START doing! Find a hobby that takes up that telly time!
Maybe???

Yup but instead of watching the dumbass reality shows and other garbage I tune to the science and history channels...now thats entertaining...unfortunately for the oblivious masses education is boring, hence the reason for the society you see in front of us.
Although I do admit to watching a ton of sports!

it use to be just religion, but now that we have tv yes it is. every gawddamn reality show is making us more stupid, educational programs like the discovery channel are watched and show what we are allowed to see even though they are the most educational of the things on tv. i hate tv as it makes alot of people more dramatic about the little things in life (ex. high school girls watching mtv reality shows, you know that makes these otherwise intelligent girls dumbed down and more dramatic)

My cable went out last week, and it turned out to be a good thing. My husband and I actually had to talk (can you believe it?!) instead of falling asleep to the TV. Makes me think I should call and have my service cancelled.
