If you are getting repeated attacks from the same IP address, record the IP and report it to your ISP. If it is one on their customers they will contact them and have them either clean the trojan or they will cut them off. If it is not one of their customers they can cut them off from accessing their network.

If it is a different IP each time, then there is not much you can do. It means that the affected person has detected and cleaned the virus so you are not getting repeated attacks. An average person will get one or more attacks every day. That is what firewalls are for, and it sounds like your is working.

Unless that person is stupid, you won't be able to track that person. The hacker would either hijack someone else's IP address or bounce the address off some previously hacked server. Otherwise, hackers would get caught all the time!

You have to provide more information. What are the symptoms your computer is displaying?
Well, anyway, you should forget about the tracing, and just let your anti-virus and anti-spy programs contain/delete the trojan or virus.

first of all you need a firewall preferably sygate and a good anti virus program preferably nod32, look it up. as far as tracing a computer some firewall programs come with a tracing program that allows you to email that persons Internet provider with their ip address and their negligent activity and they can be kicked off their isp :)

Is it your firewall that is telling you this? If so that's good. That is just your firewall doing the job that is supposed to do, which is to keep the bad guys out!

My firewall blocks hundreds of attempts every day. Just never shut that firewall down even for a minute!
