Few reasons:

1. An area that has been 'nuked' can not be entered for at least 10 years. Think about that affect on the oil market.

2. It is inhumane. You can ask this question while you don't have to see the dead bodies of small children, babies and women laying in the streets with soars all over their bodies from radiation damage.

3. The backlash from the entire world would be devastating to our economy and society.

4. Would we not be the terrorist at that point?

5. They have a legal right to obtain nuclear energy. How can we expect countries to honor treaties if when they sign a treaty we do not honor the treaty's rules.

Because the only thing we are sure of is that Iran is developing nuclear electrical generating plants.

So, attacking a country with nuclear weapons because they refuse to stop generating electricity is a little over the top, even for the US.

Even if Iran is developing nuclear weapons, there is no legal grounds for the US to attack them. And by doing so, the US will confirm that it is the single most dangerous and most terrorist country in the world, and we will will loose every ally that we have.

But if you think that permanent loss of all credibilty, combined with the very likely retribution from every hostile country in the world is justified solely to prevent Iran from maybe developing weapons that it has never used.... go ahead.

Because that may be starting a world war with their allies the russians and chinese. I dont understand why we were able to talk to our "arch-enemies" the Soviets for 3 decades but now we cannot talk to the Iranians or North Koreans. The Soviets were no more reliable than the Iranians or N. Koreans. We eventually won the cold war through diplomacy.

Because whomever makes the decision to nuke the Iranians will be considered a terrorist by the rest of the world. A lot of countries are friends with Iran. Smart leaders don't use the "nuke" option except if there is no other choice. We have choices.

The answer to thatt would be because we want to make peace not start a war. If they caught the US off guard on 9/11, there is no telling what they have up their sleeves now. BUT!! I am not too sure they caught the US off guard. There is no way security could have been that weak. To me this is a conspiracy.

Great question. Because, we could use smaller weapons before that point to destroy their capability. If it were to come down to it NUKE em. Sorry for being so politically correct here!

Because we already know nuclear weapons **** up more than their target.
Thats why we don't want others to have them.
