The -3 on the left side is x value. The -3 on the right side is y value. This all means that you must plot it on a coordinate graph. A coordinate graph is one of those graphs that looks like a "+" except with boxes all around the "+" and a 0 in teh middle. The 0 is called the point of origin. From there, you graph the coordinates.

-3 means you go 3 places to the left from the point of origin. After that, you go -3, which would be three spaces down.

Now that you have your answer, just remember that the x value is the horizontal, and the y value is the vertical. The x value is always first when written the ( ,) form. If you remember all of this, you should have no problem with plotting or graphing.

Draw a graph with an x and y axis. (x is going across and y is up and down)

(-3, -3) are a set of coordinates (or a location) on that graph. The first number given is the x- coordinate (or the location on the x-axis) and the second number is the y-coordinate (or the location on the vertical y-axis)

1. On your x-axis start at the origin, which is the center of the graph who's coordinates are (0,0) and count 3 to the left. [on the x axis left is negative and right is positive]

2.Now you are at (-3, 0). Now count three down from that point. On the y-axis down is negative and up is positive.

3. Now you are at (-3,-3). Plot a point (or draw a dot) at that location.

If you are dealing with an x,y coordinate system, then that means that your numbers correspond to places on the x axis and the y axis respectively. On your graph, go to the left 3 spaces then, go down 3 spaces. This is the point (-3,-3), where the positive numbers are to the right on the x axis and up on the y axis.

it means on a coordinate plane go to the left 3 times and then go down 3 times

from 0, go 3 to the left, and 3 down. plot a point there.

graph.I wish I could draw a graph for you. The first number belongs to the x line, and the second number belongs to the Y line. The y line runs vertical and the x line runs horizontal. They cross. Start on the graph in the middle where they meet. Now first you are going to move to the left on the x line (horizontal) move three spaces to the left (negitive area), stop, hold your spot and move down (negitive area) three lines, stop, make a dot. You have now just coordinated (-3,-3). Good luck.

You have a graph of the x axis and y axis, and you move left to -3 then down -3, giving you the right coordinates for the point! (ugh, i always hated math. lol) Hope i helped oyu out some :-)

LOOOOOOK! I GOT IT!

OK I'll try not to be wordy.

On your cross thing (IDN the name) you start in the middle where the lines intersect. You so to the left 3 spaces (left is negative and right is positive) and from there go down 3 spaces (down is negative and up is positive). Draw a dot at the both -3 and when you are done, connect them with a line. And there you go. If you don't get it add details and I will try to explain more. Good luck!
