i was researching other answers like mine and they said it could work.. i put this up again to see if there are any more helpful steps verify my cawell they did accept it but i needed this Expanded Use Number and they would charge $1.95 for verification of the real owner of the card...so i tried it but they couldnt verify the card to give me the number... what gives??? Also, is it possible to return my gift card from where i bought it? it still has the orignal value....

so to restate my problem, I bought an American Express Gift card for use on PayPal for Ebay. At first it didnt work so I looked up Yahoo Answers for the solution. The answers said it works so I tried it again. I got it to verify but before I could use money from it online I had to get an Expanded Use Number - they charge $1.95 to put a 4 digit number on your next transaction and they require you to enter the number for card verification. The thing is, when I try to get a number, the prompt says it can't be verified. Also, another thing that confuses me is that why should I have to get a Expanded Use Number if I don't get monthly statements because I'm using a gift card? Any solutions? I NEED HELP!
