I'm going to guess Under the Bridge. Eventhough it was released on an album in 1991, it was a poem that Anthony Kiedis (singer of RHCP) wrote about his drug addiction and how at that point he had gotton sober. If I remember right, he let his producer (Rick Rubin) go through his poety journal and he found Under The Bridge and thought it would be an amazing song. Anthony didn't agree and was too nervous to sing it to the band b/c he thought it was too soft and soppy of a lyric for the band. In the end though, he convinced Anthony to present it to the band and Anthony and John Frusciante (the guitarist) worked a long time on it to get the right tune for the song. So even though it was released in 1991 it was written awhile before that.
