Look at wahm.com. That is a site for work at home moms. They list a couple of legitimate businesses, plus have a bunch of forums with people like yourself.

Well, it depends on what you can do. If you write or do computer work, guru.com is a good place, but it looks like employers for the most part want the world but aren't willing to pay much for it. You can take in another child or two if you are a stay-at-home mom and babysit. Really, I've been looking for a few years, and I haven't found much. If you get a lead, let ME know and I'll do the same.

I have an awesome home based business and we're registered with the Better Business Bureau and US Chamber of Commerce. It's not a get rich quick scheme or any of those scams out there, but the money is good, 401K plan, and my whole family gets great health benefits. I only work 5 to10 hours a week, because I'm a mom, student and military! Watch out for scams out there. There are so many. Email me if you have any questions.

it is hard to find a legitimate work from home opportunity other than child care. i see this question all the time and always read them, to see if there are fresh ideas for me. but every person i know who works from home started at the office and was able to keep their job when the company downsized or whatever. i have yet to meet someone who has a REAL job from home, that started at home

i do not think there is one that you do not have to pay up front for something..i have checked into many of these and they all want money..some really outrageous start fees...i have been told by many people that have done this not to get involved with this so i have not......
