My fiance has hep c and liver damage, he takes vit.bcomplex..recently I noticed the warning on the bottle concerning taking this if liver fucntions is a problem.. Is this true??

Some B vitamins, niacin in particular, can cause liver damage in high doses. Your friend should take a good standardized milk thistle product and Thymuplex (Enzymatic Therapy). See Dr Whitaker's Guide to Natural Healing for more info and details.

Long-term, very high doses of niacin can be injurious to the liver. Time-release niacin seems to be more of a risk than 'regular' niacin. The other form of vitamin B3/niacin is niacinamide and is not considered a risk to the liver.

A single, 50mg dose of niacin (non-time release) is probably OK for your fiance. It may be wise not to take more than one capsule per day.
