if he cries after each feeding, maybe he's not getting enough to eat and wants more? Or if you do think it's because of gas, try milocon drops. You can get them over the counter and work GREAT! They can be givin after each feeding.
Maybe this is a sign of colic also, you could talk to your peditrician about switching to a lactose free/soy type of formula.

Does your milk flow too fast try laying down when feeding. All baby's will have a bit of wind. Take the baby to the doctors it may be something else - bowel troubles or thrush. Don't be afraid to put him on the bottle if it makes life easier for the both of you.

i would try switching to soy first. if that doesn't work you could try 100% hypoallergenic alimentum--it's very pricey! try switching to dr brown's bottles too if you aren't using them already.

it also sounds a lot to me like it could be reflux. try keeping the baby elevated after feeding for about 20-30 mins. is the baby acting hungry, but not eating much--like it's hurting him to do so, and then arching his back, and passing gas, and crying? also, if he spits up a lot that's another reflux indic, but not always--it wasn't the case with my baby. if you answered yes to any of these i definately would take him in to see if it's reflux.

you could also try along with the gas drops, gripe water.
good luck, and i hope everyone is feeling better soon!

Your best bet is to speak to a dietician or a pediatrician to find which formula is best for your baby. A temporary fix for gas I find with my two month old son is ovol. It works like a dream.

try gas drops. they do not enter the blood stream like other medications, so you can give them with each feeding.
