Meredith Vieira, followed closely by Diane Sawyer. Katie Couric is a very distant third.
I saw Couric interviewd a few weeks ago. I used to think highly of her, but my opinion of her dropped a thousand fold after hearing the list of people she'd just love to interview (many of them the drek of the world who should be executed and interviewed after their death).

I think Meredith is a good match for TODAY, but I don't think Katie is a good match for nightly news. As for Diane Sawyer, she's in a league of her own.

well meredith and diane are on in the mornings on GMA andTODAY respectively. Diane can also bee seen on primtime on thrursday nights at 10 and kaite is on the CBS evening news at6.30 pm. i think they;re all great journalists in their own right.
