If a woman hits a man as hard as a man would hit, she can expect to be hit back. Most real men won't hit a woman, but some will protect themselves by hitting back. Do you blame them?

I agree with an earlier response though, that if you feel you need to hit someone, you better get out of the relationship or away from the person. It's not worth going to jail over. Man and Woman are equal to authorities when fighting is involved.

The fact of the matter is that no one has the right to lay hands on anyone other then themselves!!!! And if a girl hits a man, she better watch out not all men/boys were brought up not to hit females. You can be taken away by the cops just as fast as a man could!

Therefor, if a woman hits a man, he is legally allowed to defend himself by means nessesary.

The old saying, you cant hit a woman is a being a gentleman. And being a man by walking away. A man is more physically fit than woman are, so if a woman is eager and courageous enough to punch a man, and the man is not Big enough to walk away, He can Legally defend himself by punching her back.

Gone are the days when boys are brought up not to hit girls. But where were the days that girls were taught not to hit boys. I guess the double standard is because boys/men are usually stronger and bigger than girls/women.
I have never hit anyone man or woman without expecting them to swing back. It sad because there are boys/men out there that have been brought up not to hit girls/women. And the girls/women take advantage of this. Hit, bite and beat the stuffing out of them.
Then again there are boys/men out there that do the same to girls/women. So my belief is don't hit anybody, don't be physical unless you expect it in return. For every action there is an opposite and equal reaction.

Well, hopefully this man is a gentleman and wouldn't dare strike the woman back. However if you throw the first punch everyone has a right to defend themselves, whether it be man or woman. But if this kind of anger is going on in you or someone you know seeking professional help is the best advise and keep your distance from that person by removing yourself from the same place. Learn to dis-like that person from afar.

First off Noone who is in a realtionship should be hitting ANYONE man or women. That being said I dont think a man should hit a women at ANY time. If she hits him....walk away...hit a wall, yell scream whatever but I do not agree that a man should ever hit a women.

Well, since anythings possible sure she could be hit back by him. However, two wrongs don't make a right. It is very possible that one could have the one hitting arrested too. Why not simply walk away and cool off instead of physically fighting. Nothing will be solved by fighting anyway, it only makes things worse!!!

I say a man should only defend himself against a woman if his life is in danger. Men are physically stronger than women. Besides, a woman shouldn't hit a man unless she expects to get hit back.

No never! Then she would call the police and claim to be assulted by him!
He would go to jail and have a police record. Even if the record were to be expunged, it would still show up as a record but with a note that it was expunged.
This record would show up on a background check and he would not have acess to many good jobs.
He should leave her alone or call the police on her if she continued to assult and hit him.
