I've been told Armor-all can cause the dash to crack.

Go to a women's or men's shoe store and purchase some "Mellow Wax".
It's about $2-3, 4-6 ounces, liquid wax.
Wipe on and buff minimal with a cloth. Leaves no residue.
I sold it for 17 years. It is a preservative for leather, and will not harm vinyl. It comes only in natural, goes on colorless.
Great for "natural" leathers.
Clean the surace first. Don't wax over dirt.

Armor-all is the best thing to use. It does not cause cracking, it prevents it.

There sure is, use baby oil. I have a 1986 Peterbilt that I have ALWAYS used baby oil on, and have never had the first sign of a crack!
