this is what i think, its pretty much pointless cuz soon as it gets raised companies raise their prices 2 make up for payin their workers more( thats why back in the 50's and 60"S the american dollar was worth so much more), so it doesnt help ppl makin minimum wage out all it really does is hurt ppl thats makin slightly over minimum wage, what do u think

Min. Wage today should be at least $9 per hour. After taxes, how can anyone live reasonably? Also, with the influx of illegal aliens in this country who work with fake papers DO NOT pay taxes!!! In addition they have children on US soil who rely on government handouts such as Medicaid, food stamps and a monthly check it is draining the economy.
One day, Americans will be trying to sneak across the border to Mexico to seek work. That will be a sad, sad day!!!!

I think they should raise it. It will gwt more people off government help like food stamp, welfare etc. That comes from all of our money. Companies don't have to raise their prices, maybe the higher ups of the businesses should stop getting mult-million dollar bonuses and all thse paid vacatins and extras they get when they are all ready so rich. this country is for the people but its like some don't care about others just because they don't have money but its not like they can have a better life.
