There is no definitive answer to your question because it depends on the type and size of the mower. They are all slightly different. The average push mower usually doesn't hold much more than a half gallon of gasoline and many hold only a quart or so. A medium sized riding mower may hold two gallons, while a larger lawn tractor may hold three to four gallons. Some commercial riding mowers with oversized fuel tanks may hold five to ten gallons of gasoline.
Good luck with your search for information.

Difficult to tell you, most riding mowers (within the brand even) have various sizes of gas tanks, from 1 to 2 gallons up front, or large 5 gallons out back...
Push mowers as well, from a pint to a half a gallon.

When you pour gas in in till it runs all over the mower, then it's holding a full tank.
