For a start, it's homosexual practice that's been legalized, not the orientation. No government has ever been able to make it illegal to fancy people of the same sex - they've just made it illegal to do anything about it.
Secondly, is it fair to who? If you get sexually harassed in a public shower then perhaps you ought to have some sort of legal recourse. Having said that, I'm not gay myself but I suspect that most gay men (and I'm guessing lesbians too) are way too savvy, not to mention more choosy, than to make random passes at strangers in a public shower area. But it's a very long way from that to what I think you're hinting at, which is some way of segregating straight and gay people in public showers. That, I think, would be most objectionable, because of the moral (and to a lesser extent, legal) offences that would be committed by branding people as gay and therefore a threat to straight folk.

Obviously the solution is everyone be allowed to shower together. The last time I had to use a public shower was 40 years ago in the service. I didn't think there were such things anymore. If someone is that squemish about a possible gay guy in the shower then wait until you get home. It's a non-issue.

I have always held the position a woman should shower with a man. I never did like showering with guys, gay or not. But, everyone makes a big deal when I want my rights observed and go into the women's shower. Society has become so unsocial.

I really don't care. I figure that homosexuals are just like heterosexuals in the reguard that they have personal tastes and standards too. My guess is that just because a female acquaintance happens to like other women does not mean that she will will be admiring me as well. Besides, just like you can't separate people for the stupid reason of being a different color or religion than you, you can not separate people because of their sexual choices with other adults. .

Well as a never nude, i never show my lioness in the public shower, so more power to the never nudes.
I think the main problem with the joined sexes, only happens when men are as a group outnumber the woman.

No its not fair. I dont think people that are attracted to one sex should be showering or changing in the same shower. I feel it is a violation of your rights. I dont think that there is anything wrong with someone being gay as well I dont think that there is anything wrong with someone being straight. But everyone has rights and I dont think that we should be violated by having someone that is attracted to the same sex as we watching us shower or change. If men are not aloud in showers with women or visa versa then men who attracted to men should not be aloweed to shower with men and the same for women who are attracted to women

You are separating gays from straight persons. This has the same impact as when we had segregation between whites and Blacks!! I am a straight woman and as long as a lesbian isn't hitting on me in the shower I am okay with it because she has to take a shower too!!!

they can divide the showers men/women and then homophobic men/homophobic women.
i think more people will openly admit they are homophobic than openly admit they are homosexual
and the rest can shower at home
public showers are like a giant ok to be naked in front of strangers hhmmmm.....interesting
