What can I do for the severe swelling in my eyes from allergies ?

I used Claritan D, Tylenol severe allergy, allergy eye drops, ice, a good eye cream for puffiness and bags but my eyes still look terrible from my allergies. This morning for the 1st time I looked like I had been crying all night. It was all puffy under my eyes. Thank God my boyfriend loves me so much because anyone else would have run away. I truly looked deformed. Does anyone have any other suggestions in case this happens again ?

Gently tap the swollen area with your fingertips to encourage fluids to flow elsewhere.

2. Apply a cool, soothing substance to your eyes for 5 minutes to reduce fluid retention. Try cucumber slices; a refrigerated gel mask; damp, chilled tea bags; or a damp, cold cloth.

3. Drink plenty of water. Water retention, which causes bloating, occurs when the body has too much salt and not enough fluids to flush it out.

you need to take some antihistamine to block the allergic reaction. have you tried benadryl or allegra, perhaps? i'm by no means a doctor, but since it's a severe allergy, no eye cream is going to make it go away.

I feel for you. I get the same crap, what tends to work for me is to cool down my body, using ice, cold shower, drinking ice water, cold towel over the face (wet it, put in the freezer for a little bit)...
