I recently bought an iPod 30 gig, then I find out Apple releases a new version. One of my friends told me Apple will replace it with the new model or something. Will they?

If that happened, I would contact the place you purchased it from and check to see what thier return policy is. Most places like Best Buy, Wal Mart, etc, will allow you to return the product. That has happened to me before. If they say no, go higher up in the chain of command. Talk to the manager or go to the website the place you purchased it from has and complain. Remember, the squeeky wheel gets the grease. Also, keep all your reciepts and make no modifications to your Ipod.

Thats like saying "I just bought this movie, but then the sequel came out. Will they replace it?" No, they will not replace it. Instead of lowering prices, Apple just adds more features. eventually, enough features will be added to warrant another purchase

If I bought a new car/boat/airplane/stereo/house and they came out with a new model the next day, should the maufacturer replace it?
I don't think so.
Ask your friend if you can have some...of the drugs he's taking.
They must be REALLY good!

I haven't ever heard of this, but maybe send a message to Apple. Go to Apple.com for more!

Send them an email. If you haven't opened it yet you can probably send it back and get the new one.

I doubt it. If they did they would use that as a marketing campaign and then they would lose money.

"Accidentally" Drop your Ipod and say it came like that. They should give you a new one with the receit as long as it follows the store's return policy.
