While I appreciate your wanting to know the answer, and at the expense of seeming to be rude, you really need to do some research on your own for this one! The list of differences is virtually endless. The arguments can go on for days.

I suggest going onto some web-sites of various popular leaders in our political system and check their voting records. Learn what committees they support, look into their previous qualifications. It's all a matter of public record.

Liberals believe in freedom, equality, and Justice above all things. They believe in respect for their fellow man and fairness in business and politics. Liberals believe what Jesus taught that what we do the least of our brothers defines our morality. This is why we support such things as the minimum wage, health and safety regulations, consumer protection, antitrust law, universal health care, and a social safety net.

We realize that sometimes evening out the playing field will result in inefficency, but we believe that we will eventually be judged as successful or unsuccessful by our ability to raise each other up, not tear each other down.

Conservatives tend to believe that the market, not our moraility, should determine how we treat the least of our brothers, and as a result support policies which increase the many rewards of the the winners and punish the losers. They believe in leaving the poor and weak to fend for themselves, and naievely believe that there is no such thing as exploitation or bad luck. They discount all that compain about lack of fairness as jealous and lazy. They believe that the rich deserve every bit of what they have and that the poor have nothing to complain about except themselves.

It's more than ironic that they are also unlikely to believe in Darwin's theory of survival of the fittest.
