feasible to take the Bart and then switch to a Cable car cause I don't think the Bart goes near the North Beach neighborhood. If Bart to Cable would work, which Bart stations do I go to and which airport would be best to come in on? Is their a Bart directly out of the airports?

the "of" above was supposed to be "or"
Oakland airport OR SF airport.

LJRobbie-tried to e-mail you this, but it wouldn't go through. Question for you-why would the Embarcadaro stop be better than the Montgomery stop and how far a walk would it be to North Beach from the Bart stop?

I would check out 511.org. It will tell you the fastest way (or cheapest, or shortest) to get from one Bay Area destination to another. The Trip Planner is super easy to use, and their timetables are accurate, so you will get to wherever you need to when you need to.

Take BART from SFO to the Embarcadero BART station
(BART runs into SFO, but only close to the Oakland airport)
Take a cab from the Embarcadero BART station to the intersection of Broadway and Columbus.
That will put you in the heart of North Beach and it will be a short cab ride.

The least expensive way I know from SFO is to take the Samtrans Bus #KX to Powell Street (about $2-4). Then catch the Powell Street Cable car Mason Line (around $5.00)

You can also catch a Supershuttle van on the upper level of the airport, but it will cost around $15-$20.
