e.coli comes from
cow intestines and gets on veggies from manure fertilizer. To prevent
this, large scale non-organic veg farmers "sterilize" the cow poop with
irradiation, which causes cancer .........

I guess the FDA feels that cancer is a beter alternative to e.coli.

Manure is such a common fertilizer because there's so much of it produced in
the agriculutral industry. If everyone was a vegetarian, farms would need
to find a fertilizer thats not from the @ss of a farm animal, thus solving
these little mad cow, e.coli and bird flu problems. of course, if the manure was composted properly in the first place, there is no issue with e.coli at all.
