So there is this guy who I like, he's my friend and he keeps hinting that he wants to hang out with me more and sends me online messages and everything. I have no clue if he likes me or is just being friendly but my friend says that she told him that she liked him and he said that they could still be friends but has no clue as to whether or not he likes her. He's been hanging around me increasingly but my friend says he does that with everyone and that i shouldnt get my hopes up.... what do i do?

i think you should go for it. it seems to me that your friend is trying to steel him from you by say that you shouldnt get your hopes up. and if what you say is true, it sounds to me like he likes you too.

either stop hanging out with him and see if he still tries to his hardest to get intouch with you more than your friend or talk to your friend and say "you like him but so do I so he is off limits" cause this could turn into you and your friend hateing each other because of jelousy. I've seen this happen a lot in the past.

Well for Pete's sake...ask him! You wont know until you ask and if you don't ask you'll just keep wasting valuable time wondering and your male friend will only end up being the boyfriend of someone else who had the fortitude to ask him if he likes her that way...Shite or get off the pot already!
