The answer to this question might serve as an indicator to general mental health. If my perspective doesn't fit reality and i nevertheless consider it more important then I'm losing touch or in denial. If I can't take in a few different points of view on a particular reality then I'm so locked into a single view that my ability to understand the world will be limited. And lastly, if my perspective doesn't allow me to see beyond a current reality; for example to see future possibilities then I'm hampered by fatalism and literalism.

If that perspective is not the true reality of something percived then it can and will certainly hinder a person in their relationship with people and that might fall into the reality being more important catagory.
If a person percived the light being green when in fact it was red and that person went through the red light (in reality) then they could certainly harm themselves as well as others. So again reality is more important in this situation also...........

You will live much longer and happier the sooner you get any ideas you have about creating anything out of you mind. You like living in delusions : well go outside and pretend you have invisible rubber bumpers and see what a Mack Truck or Greyhound Bus has to say about it!

I think that you only have one reality and that is the world from your own perspective because try as you might, you will never see the world exactly as another person sees it.

Reality is neither some objective "Truth" or simply a totally subjective "perspective." What we call reality is an intersubjective, negotiated assemblage of social cues.

deep question~
reality~because no matter how we perceive something, what's real is still real and no perception (or perspective) is going to change that.
