Yeah but how will he react when you tell him you're leaving him for SPIDER MAN #2?
Hmmm?
Do you guys watch Adult Swim?
What about South Park? Simpsons? Ren and Stimpy? Fritz the Cat?

I'm an 18-year-old girl and I love Marvel comics. I go into comic book stores and the men who work there ask me 'These for your little brother or something?' and I love the reaction I get from them when I reply 'No, actually, they're for me.' My boyfriend tells people that I am the first girl he's ever met who likes comics, so he just had to snatch me up. Guys are actually impressed how much I know, and are even more impressed that I've been reading comics for less than four years. To all the women who read comics out there, you go!

To me the Fangirl is the better of the whole female race as they tend to be very creative people.
If you are interested in a podcast done by one of only two women on the Internet then you need to check out "I read comics" by Lene Taylor who by the way is a woman, attractive, and a serious reader of comic books. She gives a great personal view of comics she likes and of course comic books she hates. The podcast is pretty frank so language is used extensively. One of her sponsors is even offering a grant for woman podcasters on comics.

I won't judge you, just have a different life style totally.
I have worked very hard to accept that aspect in others. I am so CNN and not a gamer at all. My husband is a gamer and his ex-wife shared those role playing games and not much reality time. I think that was a huge reason for the breakup.
I have outgrown all our other friends that prefer fantasy lives. We spend out time "outside" enjoying our "real" life, like museums, art shows, zoo events, concerts, special events and create dinner parties to enjoy conversations about life, not comics, role playing games or even Internet games.

Im a 23 yr old guy.
To be honest, I havent seen too many chicks reading comics. However, even if they were, I am not attracted to the reading material in the first place.
Like every other guy, we look at appearence for attraction. Afterwards, if we are attracted to you, and start talking to you and all you talk about it comics and comic books, we would get the impression of immaturity.
However, if you feel reading comics is good for you, who cares what guys think. Just note, that we arent attracted to what you read, we are attracted to your appearence and your personality.

Hey Girl lets put it this way. If you like comic books then you like comic books. A guy will like you because of it and is going to be like "dude she reads comic books theres no way i could dat her." It doesnt make you any less attractive or younger then what you are. Just think about it there are guys out here who take longer to get ready and put more **** in their hair then us women do. So comic books arnt just for guys.

I think it is cool that you both enjoy these great mediums. I have friends who are women who read comics and I find them more interesting then some of those who do not. I have a friend that loves anime. She goes to the conventions and everything.

People who love cartoons and comics come in all ages, cultures, languages and they range in age from little kids to seniors. The one thing they all have in common is a highly developed visual sense, a keen imagination, a love of art, a strong ethical code, and a maturity that allows them to continue to be playful all of their lives. I share your passion and I have an IQ that is in the upper ten percentile. You are in good company. :)
