New braunfels... Tell me about it.
Parents are thinking about moving there, and I have to go with them until I can save up enough money...
Anyone know much of it? It was either Austin or San Antonio, and I think it's right in between? i think 50 minutes away from Austin?
So, tell me about it! :)

Born & raised in New Braunfels before I joined the Navy, I think I love it because that's where I'm from. They've got Schlitterbahn and you can float down the rivers in the summertime. San Antonio is 20-30 min away and there's a ton of stuff there. Don't know too much about Austin but its about 45 min away. Its more of a "quiet" town but its definitely growing.

You move there. You live there for a couple of years. Then you never want to leave. If you want some of the "city life," you simply drive to to San Antonio or Austin. If that doesn't do it for you, drive another couple of hours to Dallas or Houston.
Be sure to visit San Marcos, too.

Very nice town; my step daughter and son in law live there. Huge waterpark, good restraunts and shopping. It is pretty much in between SA and Austin; and on the way to Austin there is San Marcos which has outlet stores....tons of them!

I lived there for a couple of years. It's awesome. Close to Austin and SA. Great water park and tubing on the river. Really good schools. Great place. You'll love it.
