I am writer and I have been writting a certain book for a year now.
I opeaned the folder and the first three chapters are there but the rest of it is all slashes marks (////////////////)
Thousands of them.
I am trying to stay claim.
It had over 25,000 words just all GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is not the first time this has happened to me but it also happened to my notes on the book.
I have written many other books but this one some how does not want to be written.
Nothing has happened to those books progress just this one.
Above the slash marks it says...
FHYPERLINK "../gal/4.html"
The book in prpgress is called "What's wrong with the Bible."
I don't know what I should do?
Should I rewrite it all?
I don't want it to happen agian.
I am starting to think there is an intervention or something taking place.
No one can get into the files.
I alone know the password, which is complety random.

It sounds like a virus or spyware. Run a good virus scanner (run panda active scan over the internet- it can't be corrupted like downloadable ones). Download adaware se- a program to remove spyware- for free at this address http://www.download.com/3001-8022_4-10399602.html?idl=n
If that doesn't work, maybe god is trying to punish you for going against his work.
It won't recover the work, but it will stop any future problems.

Talk to someone that can retrieve old files. I just had this done at work from the computer man. The file was completely gone and he retrieved it. It might be worth having someone retrieve it for you if they can. Call a computer technician.

I feel your pain and there is only one way you can take to get your book back. First you must go to this website.

Next you must download the professional version. With the Drivescrubber2. After that is installed you need to run the drivescrubber2. After that is done and you restarted your pc you need to run the rest of the scans. After that is done all that is left is too restart your pc. After you do your book will be back. And normal too.

well, i am not a computer expert, so obviously dont know what "FHYPERLINK "../gal/4.html" " means. But there are people out there who are. My suggestion is to go to a real forum where real experts can help you. google up some forums. youll be suprised at how much you can benefit from them.

well, ummm thats weird and I do mean really weird if it is a book aginst the bible it could be God letting you know what your writing is wrong and to not write it...if it is for the bible it could be the devil trying to get you not to write it or it could be some moron logging into your stuff my husband did this when he was a teen and believe me they can get their hands on anything they don't have to know your password to mess up your hard work.. : )

You are a writer? You do not backup your writings? Come on, you are smarter than that..The book you are writing is still on the hard drive, just get a recovery tool. You can use the yahoo desk top search..
