Maybe for the soul, but it won't affect the sole.

The sound of running water is great for the soul; I'm afraid that the same can't be said of the sole. The last time I had water in my sole, the shoes wouldn't fit any longer.

Hope this helps!

Not for me, I have Athlete's Foot and Couch Potato's Butt and every time either one gets wet it itches like hell for six hours.

As an Aquarium, er, uh, Aquarius, I love the sound of running water, even if it does make me have to pee all the time. Which is why I was such a popular charter boat captain amongst the ladies. On the lake, I tend to just whip it out wherever I am after about the twelfth rum and coke. If it bothered them that much I don't think they'd take so many pictures, especially the close-ups.

However, Aquarius or not, I hate the sound of running water back at the flat. That almost always means dear old mum has fallen asleep in the loo again after clogging it. I'm starting to think that's the only reason she ever comes to visit.

The sound of running water is parallel to watching a camp fire... It's soothing and refreshes the mind, soul and body. Interesting that two basic elements, like fire & water, have such a profound effect!

If you really meant sole, the answer is still yes.... Just go put your bare feet in a warm lake and listen to the waves!

Of course not! Your soles will slip on water! If you hear the sound of running water, DON'T walk towards it!

Yes it is good for the sole. Fish need water.

Sometimes I have to think, (and when I do it hurts a bit) that the poor little fish get sick of hearing running water all the time. Do you think that they ever long to hear the sounds of wind rustling gently through the trees? Or the gentle murmurs of an Albino Yak in the plains?

I think the biggest noodle-scratcher for our fishy friends is why the gentle sound of water is called white noise, as the water is not white. It keeps them up at night, trust me, they told me once.

Assuming you mean the soul, the answer is yes. Running water produces negative ions in the atmosphere which has a calming effect on humans.
