You could not drink beer at the parties....
Anyway, yes, of course. Go to fun places like rec rooms in dorms and if you're a nerd like me, go to the library. And if you already have friends from parties, just ask if they want to do something other than partying.

Go to the library or park and try to meet people there. If you want to have friends that do not drink and party, avoid those places. Look in the papers for clubs or get togethers. Do you have or like any hobbies? Sewing, Crafts, Churches? Just ideas for you.

The truth? The truth is that you'd be better off without friends than doing the brain damaging drinking. Yes, there are students who would befriend you if you stopped drinking.

you could just go to classes and then if you see someone that looks like they would be friendly just strike up a convo. and then start sitting next to them during classes.
