Would it be better to get a 8gb Creative Zen Microphoto for around $160 or the new 8gb ipod nano for $250? I'm going to be jogging with it alot and I just wonder what's best for jogging/sound quality.
And don't just say "get da ipod it da best in da wrold!!!112 lol"

I've seen the ipod nano, and I would not suggest buying it...it is soo not worth the money..even if it is an "ipod". I am not sure what all features the Zen Microphoto comes with, but I am sure that it will be more efficient than the nano. Get the creative.

I have an iPod nano and I must say that I really enjoy having it. Not just because it's an iPod, but because of what I can do with it. I can store pictures on it if needed, but I mostly use it for, obviously, the music. Plus, I know for a fact that the compact size of the nano makes it less susceptible to breakage because there are no moving parts inside and the battery last a long time, and easily recharges. Plus, for about $25-$30, you can get a little pocket that you can strap around your arm and put your nano in for when you jog.

my friend has a zen and i have an ipod, so i am familiar with both. besides physical differences in that the zen is a bit bulkier, it is definitely worth your money. technically speaking, both players are capable of exactly the same thing and they hold just as much music/photos/etc. both can very well be used for jogging, flash drives don't jiggle till the mechanisms fizzle like the old ipod used to do. the battery capacity is just about equal, if not, the ipod may be a bit longer. don't worry about skipping or any of those old skool problems, both devices are more advanced than that.

but otherwise, i recommend getting the zen. 250$ for 8 gigs is just not worth it.

It depends on how many songs you want on it and if you want videos on it. I think that iPods have the best quality, and they will not skip of course. The nanos are really portable but easy to break if dropped. Get an iPod video if you want songs and videos, but they are larger. The iPod nanos have a special downloadable feature to track your progress with jogging. Look at all the info at Apple.com.

don't get either. get the 30 gb ipod video. it only costs $250 now and it's still small enough that you can easily jog with it. i don't see why anyone would get the 8gb nano when the 30gb ipod is the same price and also has an armband accessory like the one all the runners with ipod nanos use.
