Bleeding after sex when you are pregnant is very common. Your cervix becomes swollen and more sensitive. Generally, you can expect to bleed a SLIGHT amount after sex. However, because the blood was bright red, call your doctor just to be sure. (Bright red blood, bleeding that does not stop, more than a small amount, and/or bleeding accompanied by contractions (your uterus may continue contracting for up to half an hour after sex, so, don't freak out right away) warrants a call to the doctor)
Unless there are contraindications (and your doctor would tell you if there are) you can have sex right up until you give birth. Contrary to popular belief, during a normal healthy pregnancy, sex does not harm the fetus in anyway, does not harm the woman, and does not induce labor (although, if you are about to go into labor, certain chemicals in semen can help to speed thigns along). In fact, women who continue having sex during a normal pregnancy usually have easier labors (you exercise some of the same muscles when you are having sex and orgasming as you do while giving birth) and a faster recovery (again, the muscles are in better shape.

Anytime you have bleeding during your pregnancy you should consult a doctor.
However, seems how it did stop could it possibly be a result of a something else... hard to go here without being too personal but if your partner used his fingers he may have scratched you.

Unless your partner scratched you it is very unlikely that the sex caused the bleeding. Bleeding is a sign of problems.

At any rate, it would be worth checking with your doctor.

It happens to others, but still, get to a doctor right away just to be safe. A bright red bleed can signal a small tear, but it can also be a sign of other things that are not safe to you and baby. Just be safe and make the call to the doctor and it will put your mind at ease.

Yes. You should tell your dr. They may need to check you for dialation. Your cervix is SUPER sinsitive right now and also engorged with blood and stuff so if it got bumped it can bleed. Your dr will check you and tell you either no more sex or its fine. Generally as long as it stops your fine. Normally you can have sex up until delivery but if it continues they will probibly tell you to stop. Dont forget that there is stuff in his sperm that helps your cervix to ripen basicly the same stuff in the cervidal they use before inductions. Good luck!

I wasn't having sex in my third trimester, so it's hard to say...you should think about calling your doctor..Maybe keep things out of that area until your baby is born.

I haven't but my doctor advised me at my last visit about this... she said if the blood is bright, that it means it is new, where as if it were ruddy colored, it appeared to be old. If it was bright, ya probably did something ya shouldn't have!
