I need to do a project with my 12th grade class. Right now we are reading Othello and I would like to do something with food, but I cannot think of anything. Any ideas would help greatly!!!!

I dunno about food but this project worked well for me with any drama - especially for the hands-on learners:

Imagine that a local theater group is putting on a production of Othello. Make a poster for this show. Be sure to include...
- names of the stars
- location, dates and time
- admission price
- what else?

I had available glue sticks, markers, glitter, crepe paper etc.

You could use small posters for individual work, or large ones for small groups. Turn it into a competition with enough "awards" to go around...most original, most creative, most dramatic, most informative, best design, most colorful...you get the idea. I had great results with this. One winner had "marquee" lights all around the borders.

Hope that's helpful!

Afterthought: anothr idea is to give project choices: something for each learning style. This one would be kinesthetic (oh, wait, would kinesthetic be one where they act out a scene?) - one choice might be to write an extended definition of jealousy...another would be to draw a set of costumes for the main characters...etc. etc.
