I know exactly the feeling you are describing, there are days when i ahve trouble keeping up with even what day it is, they all seem to run together so fast, especially the last four years, they seem to short somehow. As for that feeling of being "off", yeah that's there too. It all comes from the general pace the world has gone into adn the fac that there is so much to do that the time is lost before we notice it has been. Add to that the fact that thigns are changing as the world prepares to enter the next phase of its existance and the change in perception of time is a part of that change.

Yeah, life is so exciting and wonderful, isn't it? There seems to be never enough time to do everything that I want to do, but whenever I worry about the acceleration of time I just look at the second hand on my watch for a while. It only takes a couple of minutes to realize that I can always count one-one-thousand, two-one-thousand, three-on-thousand, etc. between the movements of the second hand. By now, my faith in the constancy of time is pretty solid, but I always know and am comforted by the fact that I can double check that fact with my watch whenever I please.

NOOOOOOOOO, i feel EXACTLY the same way and I just hate it because I feel that maybe I'm not spending my time wisely, that I should be doing better things for myself, and I think about everything I have done..., the world does move sooooo fast and it seems like nobody stops and think about it, even I asked myself that question, if other people feel the same way I do and I don't think you are getting old, then, im getting old also and im bearly 15 :)

Think of it in mathematical terms. If you're 26, one year is 1/26th of your life....just a small fraction. When you're 5, it's a 1/5th of your life, and so on....so yes, time does seem to go much faster as we get older.

Well, as time goes by, you have more of it behind you, so to speak. So the more of t you experience, the faster it goes. Or least the faster it seems to go. And if twenty six is old, I'm getting old too, and I really don't want to.

Time perception is based on ones age. When you are 1, a year is a long time, when you are 48, it is a short time. It is based on your perception of things based on how long you have lived. 26 is NOT old. I will be 49 in October.

Yes time is speeding up. That is a fact. It isn't just our perception. The Earth is in the midst of some drastic changes right now.
