Over the counter medications should be alright, but check with your doctor before taking anything.
Cough drops, VapoRub, a salt water throat gargle and a saline nose spray are fine to use. For fever and pain, use a pain reliever without aspirin.

Yeah I am prettu sure you can take Tylenol but be sure to at least ask a nurse if not your doctor beforehand. I had a really high fever when I was 12 weeks and that was all they would let me take, I think my sis who is a nurse said it is the only medicine that has been tested on pregnant women and found safe. As long as it is Acetemetaphine and only the recommended dose.

If you want to steer clear of medications, go back to the old lemon and honey drink. 1 squeezed lemon, hot water and honey or sugar to taste. Nothing can cure a virus anyway, except time, at least it will make you feel better.

I would ask the doctor, not to take any chances.
I guess if they let you take Tylenol, there is Tylenol Flu, as well.
