I love them because they're so weird, and they've been around for 20 years, but if I ever tell someone about them, then they're just like "who?".

I love the Lips! Wayne Coyne is the only modern rock & roll hero.
The March 1993 Esquire article about them (and their tour with Beck) was terrific. I highly recommend seeking it out if you haven't read it.

I have. Same thing you said about them goes for my favorite band BoDeans they've been around since 1986.

I have heard of them, not a huge fan. I can listen to their music at a party and not have a problem, but it would not be in my cd collection.
