What a great mother in law! I never used the diaper genie or changing table, but since it's also a dresser you'll get lots of use from that. We never used a playpen either. You'll need a carseat, stroller, and bouncy chair. Also, a swing when he gets to be about 5 mos old will come in really handy. Other than that, just lots of diapers etc. I found that the second hand baby clothes at thrift stores really reasonable and hardly worn (since babies grow super fast). I didn't buy anything stained, but lots of it seemed brand new. Remember lots of people will probably buy you stuff, so wait until after that to finish up your shopping. Have fun!!!!!!

There are large toddler Pooh products available in shops. you additionally can get wall decals, posters, lamps, and especially lots each and every thing for a nursery in this topic. My oldest daughter had a Pooh nursery. My husband and that i used to place jointly puzzles while i grew to become into pregnant and we did 5 photograph-mosaic puzzles of Pooh and friends, glued them jointly and framed them for her room. She's a toddler now yet nonetheless has a Pooh themed room. i think of if I ever have a boy, i'd want to do his nursery in Noah's Ark or (to make his Daddy chuffed) Nascar.

onsies, pj's, hats, coats, burp rags, diapers, rocking chair, blankets, diaper rash cream, baby wash, alchol, baby nail clippers, baby lotion ..... oh and stay away from getting baby oil. Once the baby as it starts getting around if it ingest the oil the baby can aspirate it and they can't do anything but make the baby comfortable while it basically sufficates. Sorry to be so blunt but I just seen a couple that went through losing one of their twins to that on Oprah.

why don't u go to a store and register for things. That way all the money is not coming out of your pocket. U can go to babies r us, target or walmart to register. They usually give u a list of things that they suggest u need. Some people follow the list to a tee others don't. It is up to you. If u don't want to go to the stores, some of these same places will let u register online.

The vibrating bouncy is the must - I used it with my newborn at night so I could get some shut-eye...
Noisemaker (lots of noise in the womb)
Baby swing
Baby sling
Oh, and if you have a choice and are looking into a rocker/glider... Try to get one that reclines. That way while you are nigh-time nursing, you can "catnap".
