I need to find out if someone is defaulting on their mortgage as they owe me a lot of money and if their house is going to go to foreclosure I need to put a claim onto the house if it is sold.

Contact the American Embassy - they should be able to suggest the best way to go about getting your money.

Why wait until its going up for sale? Go to court, get a judgement, and then put your own lien against their house or other assets. That way you know you're covered.

the notice of defaults usually listed in the local newspaper. Check with your courthouse on how things being hanlded in your state.

You can go the the county recorders office and they will be able to look it up for you.
Is there a lien on the property? What position?
If you like I can look it up for you.
