As long as no one is killed or seriously injured I love automobile accidents because I hate automobiles. Next to the handgun, the auto is clearly the worst invention ever, absolutely devastating to the environment, and of great danger to pedestrians. The auto also places human beings further apart, isolating people in little metal and glass boxes.
I love non-injurious auto wrecks because they take cars off the road, cause insurance rates to go up, and tie up traffic, making the whole driving experience at least a little more frustrating for drivers. I just LOVE traffic jams!! It is a great pleasure to walk past tied up drivers with a smile on my face as they curse and honk their horns.
I say that I love non-injurious accidents, but if the driver who is at fault gets a little banged up, that's okay. Especially if s/he is drunk, had been speeding, or had been yakking on their walkie-talkie.

Americans, and people in general, don't necessarily love car accidents. I think they're just in awe at what could happen to you if you drive recklessly or get in an accident.

I hate it when I'm on the freeway and I'm behind a long line of cars waiting to see the car crash ahead.

(Now, NASCAR, where the driver goes a few hundred miles per hour is a different story. Those are professional drivers who get into wrecks.)

Do you mean the rubber neckers that have to slow down to see the accident? I guess it's just trying to see if they can see blood and gore. Did someone get hurt? Is there blood every where? Did someone get thrown from the car? All that sort of thing.

It's just something that you have to see. You hear a noise and you don't want to look and seem nosy but you just have to out of curiosity.
