I have a Yahoo fantasy team, but I'm not exactly sure how a buy works. For instance, I have Terry Glenn of Dallas, who has a buy next week. Should I replace him with one of my benched WRs? How exactly does that work?

I can't ask anyone else in my league because they're all men, and we all know better than to accept "friendly" advice from your own league.

Each team gets one week off durring the season where they do not play. For Fantasy sports then you should bench any players on a current bye week, like Terry Glenn and then you should replace him with either another benched player or pick up someone to cover Glenn for that week.

Sometimes if you don't have an empty slot and have no one to put in then you will have to drop someone and pick somebody up. You should look at all your bye weeks in advance that way you know ahead of time if you need to shop around for a differant player. In my league we are so picky that we write down each teams bye week before we even draft our team members that way our whole team doesn't end up with the same bye week 'cause that would suck :-p

Hope that all makes sense!

bye is just a week off. Don't sweat it. I have Brett Favre on the bench and he brought in 22 fan points on the bench. All teams have a bye, will make no difference in the long run. All your players will have a bye week regardless if they are on the bench or not. If they dont play they don't get points, all will have it sooner or later. I just leave mine alone and am 3rd in my league, even keeping the bye players on the field.

A bye week means that team is not playing. Just change Glenn to a bench status and make one of your bench guys active.

yeah, bench him for another WR. A bye week is a week where the entire team doesn't play. Each team in the NFL gets one of these per season, so stay on the lookout for more bye weeks from your other players later on down the road.

When you see a bye - bench the player because he is not playing for that week - I am not sure what the men issue is though.
