To get the same effect as sunlight the mirror would have to swivel so the direct rays would be hitting the plant at least most of the day. That is if it's a plant that needs sunlight. It would, I think, work better on low-light plants because then when the reflection isn't hitting the plant you wouldn't have to worry about it.

Sounds like a project to me. Give it a try.

For sure, I actually use a reflective film in my garden every year to gather more light in my kind of shaded garden. It really helps. Bugs also get all screwed up because they cant hide under a leaf from the sun since the sun is on the bottom of the leaf and also the top at the same time.
