Why would you ask if I am British?
BTW, my favourite toy was, of course, Barbie!

Hi. Wow you brought back a memory I hadn't thought about for years. When I was little I was very poor. The only "toys" I had were my collection of bottle caps. I was so proud of them. Later I got a small doll. I still have her.

Hi Rachel My greatest ever toy was a 1foot high clown he was made of firm but not hard plastic he was painted in a blue and white polka dot clowns suit with all the clown style makeup on his face he had big red buttons on his suit that were just molded into it , He was a gift from my grandmother for mt 1st birth day I took him every where i have pictures of me crawling and dragging him with me , when I was teething his big nose was the thing i chewed on instead of a teething ring ,My mom said we were inseparable until I started primary school and my mom said that he was a clown and he had to go to circus school not real school so he was always waiting when I got home (I guess his bus came before mine lol) the sad thing is I went to live over seas fore a few years and some were in our travels he just got left behind I know its stupid but I always think of that silly toy and hope another kid got to love it like I did ,

A Raggedy Ann doll. I went everywhere with her. We took trip to Disneyland in California and I accidentally left her in a motel room in Flagstaff Arizona. I made my family turn around and go back and get her. We were over 100 miles away from there when I discovered that she was missing. My family was not happy about it.

I had a metal "Mobo" (Triang) tortoise. It was painted in yellow and red. It had an odd mechanism, contolled by a sort of brake lever and cable, that propelled the tortoise in an ambling zig-zag gait.

I still had it until, sadly. it was destroyed in a fire, a couple of years ago.
